Who is This Class for?
Meet your Instructor
Hi, I’m Kayleigh, and my flash stories have been published in Barrel House, X-R-A-Y, Milk Candy Review and a dozen other literary magazines.
As an instructor, I love that flash lets me get to know my students work so well — with flash you can write a new story every week, with time left to revise and even submit for publication.
Some of my flash students have written their first stories, gotten their first creative writing publications, and broken free of writers block after years of struggling with novels and memoirs. It’s truly life changing.
What Students Are Saying
-
I especially appreciated Kayleigh’s nuanced lesson on the varieties of third person narration. It’s made me more tuned in to my choices in my writing and it’s also made me a more appreciative reader.

The craft tools and self editing techniques you taught in class helped me to grow as a writer. And your feedback significantly improved my short stories for my MFA applications. Thanks, Kayleigh!
